At our May 9th General Meeting starting at 7PM, the BCAC is hosting the candidates for the 24th Assembly Primary Election.  As Ballotpedia says, “[The Assembly] forms the legislative branch of the California state government and works alongside the governor of California to create laws and establish a state budget. Legislative authority and responsibilities of the California State Assembly include passing bills on public policy matters, setting levels for state spending, raising and lowering taxes…” (emphasis added)  So reserve time in your calendar to learn their background, reason for seeking office, and answering relevant questions.

We want to serve our community by providing access to elected official, information on local topics, beautifying our neighborhood, and opportunities for members to express their leadership.
