We want to invite you to attend our June 8th General Meeting at the Berryessa Community Center (3050 Berryessa Road) starting at 7:00PM.. In addition to reports from the first responders who serve to keep us safe and the many elected officials/staffers, we are hosting Wilson Tam as our featured speaker. He will be sharing the status of the King Streets Plan – Project update and current design concept.. The City of San Jose (https://www.sanjoseca.gov/your-government/departments-offices/transportation/transportation-planning/king-road-complete-streets-plan) says this:
Over the last two years, more than 1,100 of your neighbors shared ideas about making King Road a safer road to travel. We also collected opinions on how to make King Road more convenient for people who walk, bike, roll, ride public transit, and use a mobility aid…The King Road Complete Streets Plan will make King Road, from Berryessa Road to East Capitol Expressway, a safer and more inviting place to walk, bike, and take public transit. This six-mile stretch is a Vision Zero Priority Safety Corridor. This means that King Road is one of the most dangerous streets in the city for traffic-related injuries and deaths.(emphasis added)
Your attendance at the meetings makes a difference for the Mr. Tam, our First Responders, and Elected Officials.. A small audience doesn’t have the same impact as a full-house. But if there are factors that prevent attendance, we deliver a Zoom option for you to listen in:
