San José’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services is the organization that delivers and operates over 200 parks, over 60 miles of trails, 50 community centers and programs that touch the lives of individuals and families in our community.

They are updating our strategic plan, ActivateSJ, to sustain our parks system, while strengthening our focus on services and the design of parks and public facilities. ActivateSJ consists of five community-inspired guiding principles that were crafted by engaging with the community at special events, community meetings and an online survey. 

SJ Parks department would like your input on the guiding principles – their approach to delivering a world-class, sustainable parks and facilities system that enhance quality of life in San José.
