BCAC Members and Community Friends,
It is likely that everyone watched the news footage of Pacific Palisades homes reduced to smoking ashes, its residents struggling with such loss. And if we look East, those lovely green hills are loading up on what, in a month or so, will become fuel. Our April featured presentation will be on Fire Prevention Resources – what to do now to reduce your risk in the near future. So come join in our evening of information and community.
- Berryessa Community Center
- 3050 Berryessa Road, San Jose 95132
- Monday April 14th starting at 7:00PM
And on a related note – I am so thankful for the Bob Grosse Ground Water Recharge Ponds (aka “Perc Ponds”). On more than one occasion I have watched firefighting helicopters fly from the Perc Ponds, loaded with thousands of pounds of water, out to the hillside fire site and return 10 minutes later -over and over again. What a wonderful benefit in addition to the ground water recharge and beautiful park setting.
We want you to be current on governmental actions/plans and to learn about programs that beautify our city. And, of course, we would love to host you on-site, but we recognize that you may need remote access, so we make the presentation available online at:
