As it has been for decades the BCAC’s March Meeting acknowledges our Citizen of the Year and celebrates one of the many ethnic groups that enrich our history and our community.  This year’s Citizen of the Year will be the 35th person who will get recognition for their many contributions to our area.  We are keen to host our elected representatives or staff join us in acknowledging wonderful service to our award:

This year our annual Ethnic Celebration is revisiting the Portuguese who were last celebrated in 2014.  I have had the pleasure of living many months on Terceira Island in the Azores while in the US Navy as well as a wonderful trip in Portugal.  When you go don’t miss Oporto and the beauty of the Majestic Cafe and the Lello Bookstore.  Bookstore?  YES…search the web.
